Media Blog 6

We went to Vaughn Mills mall a while ago, I just haven't had time to write this blog yet, so here goes. Going to Vaughn mills was so much fun! We got to learn about how stores are placed in malls to try to achieve the most popularity and business it possibly can. But we got to do it from just walking around and not looking for specific things. I learned that the Vaughn Mills mall was originally owned by the States, but it is now owned by Canada. One thing that I didn't like about the trip was the bus, they are always so uncomfortable! But other than that, the trip was great and a lot of fun!
Some of the sections in the mall were; rural, city, and great lakes. They used different flooring, and designs on the ceiling to make it feel like the certain area. There are a lot of different age categories in the mall. Pretty much something for everyone. There are stores for kids like Gap, stores for teenagers, like American Eagle, Garage and H&M, and for older people too. The only thing that I didn't really see were any electronic stores, for cell phones or computers, or a Hollister. If the mall had a Hollister or Abercrombie, it would get a lot more business.
